SaveTheParts.org \u2014 Our National Recovery Initiative<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A Mission That Matters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Launching October 2025, SaveTheParts.org is the Motorheadmen Foundation\u2019s flagship national initiative focused on locating, recovering, and restoring vintage automotive parts before they\u2019re lost to time. These parts aren\u2019t just scrap\u2014they\u2019re pieces of history, and they\u2019re the backbone of hands-on learning and classic vehicle restoration.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign kicks off with the first official part recovery mission in the Midwest, where we\u2019ll visit a long-forgotten salvage location that houses thousands of original parts, tools, and accessories dating back decades. From this site, our team will begin the process of: cataloging items into a national parts database for future training and builds, recovering and documenting vintage parts and transporting usable components to our restoration hub<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Classic cars are getting harder to restore because the parts are disappearing. Over the years, salvage yards have closed, barns have been cleaned out, and essential tools have been scrapped. Our mission is to save what\u2019s left\u2014before it\u2019s gone.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recovered parts are not only preserved\u2014they’re put to work. These components become hands-on training tools for our students and volunteers, used in live restoration projects, raffles, and educational builds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hands-On Automotive Training in Delaware<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Training with a Purpose \u2013 From the Yard to the Shop<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Every item we recover through SaveTheParts.org fuels the next generation of automotive tradesmen and women. Students in our upcoming Kent County, Delaware training facility will learn on real parts, work on real cars, and gain real-world restoration experience\u2014not just from books, but from bolts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through weekend and evening classes, small group apprenticeship programs, and veteran-focused training sessions, we\u2019re creating a direct pipeline between historic preservation and future careers in automotive repair and restoration.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community Restoration Project<\/strong>s<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n


We restore and raffle off classic cars to raise funds and engage the public, using each project as a teaching tool for our students and volunteers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Veteran and Disability Inclusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n


We offer programs specifically designed to include military veterans and individuals with disabilities, helping them learn new skills, re-enter the workforce, and connect with a supportive community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legacy Donations and Restorations:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My daughter, Brittany, and her family will be involved from day one. They will play an integral role in ensuring the continuity of the foundation, with the hope that one day, her children will carry the torch and continue the work we\u2019ve started.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve also been approached by car owners who are interested in donating their vehicles to the foundation. Many of these donors, as they age, have no one to leave their prized vehicles to and would rather see them preserved and showcased in a museum setting. These vehicles will come with a personal story, sharing the passion and history behind the build. We will create video interviews with the owners, allowing them to share the journey behind their cars and trucks. These videos will be displayed alongside the vehicles in the museum, giving visitors an immersive, personal experience that highlights the emotional connections and craftsmanship involved in each restoration.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preserving the Passion:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Over the past 50 years, I\u2019ve traveled the country meeting car enthusiasts, whether they\u2019re restoring military vehicles or classic cars. Every build is fueled by passion and personal significance. What many car owners fear is that when they\u2019re gone, their hard work and dedication will be sold off or lost to those who don\u2019t understand the true value of the vehicle beyond its monetary worth. The Motorheadmen Foundation aims to ensure that these stories and their vehicles are preserved for future generations to appreciate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stories behind these vehicles are far greater than the cars themselves. By capturing these stories on video and sharing them with the public, we not only preserve the legacy of the vehicles but also honor the people who devoted their time, energy, and passion to bringing them back to life.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By combining a museum, a restoration shop, and a hub for car enthusiasts, the Motorheadmen Foundation aims to be a place where history, education, and passion collide.
