SaveTheParts.org is more than just a mission\u2014it\u2019s a growing national initiative dedicated to recovering, restoring, and preserving historic vehicles and parts while building a skilled workforce for the future. What began as a Midwest-based recovery mission is rapidly expanding across the country, bringing together volunteers, veterans, educators, and preservationists to save history and create opportunity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase 1: Recovery and Outreach<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase 2: <\/strong> Pilot Education Programs in Delaware<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Lay the groundwork for long-term facilities and future recovery and restoration sites through community support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Host weekend and evening tech sessions in Kent County<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Introducing restoration skills to underserved populations through education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.<\/strong> Begin partnerships with local veterans’ groups and schools<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Prepare for property acquisition and facility design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As phase two progresses, we will launch programs that invite local men and women to join us in learning and building classic cars. We\u2019ve already received interest from military veterans and individuals with disabilities who are eager to contribute to the project or participate in the learning center. Our goal is to offer young people the chance to not only build their own automotive businesses but also to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for classic cars and trucks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase 3: <\/strong>Permanent Facility Construction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building the Future in Delaware<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Develop dedicated classrooms, workshops, and event spaces to support national programming<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Acquire 50\u2013100 acres in Kent County for a flagship restoration and training campus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Construct a fully equipped restoration center and technical school<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Provide on-site housing for apprentices, veterans, and traveling volunteers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Technical School<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Motorheadmen Foundation\u2019s Technical School will be a large, one-story, metal building with several designated rooms, including the main office and conference area.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Car Exhibit Area<\/strong>:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of the building will be an exhibit space for over 50 classic and antique cars, along with memorabilia and images from Delaware\u2019s automotive history. Visitors will also enjoy interactive digital displays where they can learn the stories behind each vehicle and hear from the owners who restored them.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Delaware Room<\/strong>:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

This room will celebrate the rich history of Delaware, highlighting the state\u2019s significance as one of the first in the union. It will showcase local heroes, industries, and events that shaped Delaware\u2019s history.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Delaware Tradesmen Room<\/strong>:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

This room will honor the skilled tradesmen of Delaware, showcasing tools, equipment, and photographs that highlight the evolution of craftsmanship in the state. For example, we\u2019ll feature the tools of Bill\u2019s great-grandfather, a boat builder from the early 1900s, along with tools from the Chrysler Assembly Plant in Newark, Delaware, which played a crucial role in producing military tanks during World War II.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

The Restoration shop<\/h2>\n\n\n

We will have a fully equipped restoration shop designed to repair, restore, and maintain classic cars. This shop will play a pivotal role in preparing vehicles for museum display and supporting educational initiatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ll offer weekend tech sessions and hands-on training for individuals interested in learning about vehicle restoration, especially for older cars (pre-2005 models). This program will provide aspiring technicians the opportunity to work on real-world projects and learn practical skills in a hands-on environment. Some vehicles will be restored and sold at car auction houses under our nonprofit name to raise awareness and generate funds for the foundation. Additionally, we\u2019ll offer summer programs for all ages, teaching the art of car restoration and fostering a community of passionate car enthusiasts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Large area for car shows and flea markets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here in Kent county Delaware there is no real area designated for this type of venue. the ones that are. usually charge a steeper then necessary fee for this and are only held ounce or twice a year. we thing we could do better then this. We would like to provide a place with food courts and picnic areas where local clubs can come out and set up for much cheaper.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

A Future goal after we have became more stabilized as a Foundation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Building 3 thru 6<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These building will be turn key shops. this building will be rented out to other young men looking to open or start a automotive repair business<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

these building will have a fenced in area for out side storage and be complete with air compressors. one lift and heating and air conditioning. All a mechanics will need to do is bring his tools and would be offered at a fair priced to help get young men and women a place to get a start. where they can exceed and not be hampered by over priced shops that are going to drag them down before they even get started<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n
